Inter agree Palestra deal and Milan keep Camarda as Serie A's summer market accelerates
Main stories
Inter moved to the brink of signing right-back Marco Palestra, reaching a verbal agreement with Atalanta after a June 18 meeting, according to Sky Sport Italia. The fee is reported at around €45m plus €5m in bonuses for the 21-year-old, who impressed on loan at Cagliari last season and is lined up to fill the slot vacated by Denzel Dumfries, bound for Real Madrid; the move is agreed but not yet official.
Milan kept hold of academy striker Francesco Camarda, exercising their counter-option to re-sign the teenager from Lecce. Per Sportmediaset, Lecce had triggered a €3m purchase before Milan activated a €4m counter-clause within the June 18–20 window, returning the forward to the rossoneri.
Juventus closed in on the return of Randal Kolo Muani, with Goal reporting an agreement in principle with Paris Saint-Germain built around a roughly €10m loan and an option to buy of €30–35m. The deal is held up by Juventus needing to complete a sale first, and remains agreed in principle rather than done.
Transfer and squad notes
The goalkeeper market intensified, with Juventus pushing for Tottenham's Guglielmo Vicario and reported by Sky Sport Italia to be ahead of Napoli, even as Emiliano Martínez stays their first-choice target; any Napoli move is tied to selling Alex Meret or Vanja Milinković-Savić.
Inter's midfield rebuild had already taken shape earlier this month when the club re-signed Aleksandar Stanković via a €23m buyback from Club Brugge on a contract to 2031, as confirmed on Inter's official site.
Juventus were also reported to be exploring a return for Sassuolo's Tarik Muharemović, according to Italian transfer coverage on June 19, though no agreement has been confirmed; treat the interest as reported.
What it means for the league
Reigning champions Napoli have set the early pace under Antonio Conte after landing Kevin De Bruyne on a free and Noa Lang among others, prompting Inter and Juventus to respond with their own targeted business. The window's defining moves are concentrated on full-backs and goalkeepers, and several of them — Palestra, Kolo Muani, any Napoli or Juventus goalkeeper switch — hinge on outgoings still to be finalised. With the season over and squads in flux, the title contenders are quietly reshaping their spines before pre-season.
